This section describes the insights available in the Compared

dashboard. This dashboard allows you to compare Contributors

or Teams

side by side across multiple key productivity metrics, providing a broader understanding of engineering performance across the organization.

Overview

The Compared dashboard supports two modes: Compare Contributors

and Compare Teams

. In both cases, you will be able to select multiple entities and compare them across various charts and metrics.

Comparing contributors or teams allows you to identify high-performing individuals or groups, spot trends, and highlight opportunities for improvement based on consistent, measurable data.

To begin:

  • Select either Compare Contributors

    or Compare Teams

    from the main page.

  • In Compare Contributors

, choose at least two contributors from the pop-up selector. You can type names or usernames to filter the list.

  • In Compare Teams

, make sure teams are already created in the Teams page before making your selection.

Charts are color-coded

to differentiate between contributors or teams.

For more information on how each chart is calculated, please refer to the relevant Individual Dashboard or Teams Dashboard documentation.

Compare Contributors

Selecting Compare Contributors

enables a side-by-side comparison of individual contributors across seven productivity metrics. You must select at least two contributors

, and there is no upper limit.

Available Charts

  1. Effective Output
  2. Output Breakdown
  3. Monthly Average Output Breakdown
  4. Waste Rate
  5. Effective Output Heatmap
  6. Commits Heatmap
  7. Quality Score

Each chart displays the selected contributors in distinct colors

, allowing you to visually track and analyze performance trends across individuals.

To explore the definition of each metric or visualization, please refer to the Individual Dashboard documentation.

Compare Teams

Selecting Compare Teams

enables a broader analysis by comparing engineering teams across multiple metrics. Before using this mode, ensure your teams are defined in the Teams section.

You must select at least two teams

to enable comparisons.
